Ravindra Jadeja, Likely To Leave CSK As A Well-Rounded Player, Was “Completely Out Of Touch” With The Franchise

Ravindra Jadeja’s stint with four-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) seems to be coming to an abrupt end as the Indian all-rounder would sever all ties to the franchise. Jadeja was asked to step down as captain midway through the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022 after the team’s poor start and the move didn’t quite fit the all-round star.

Jadeja received the captain from MS Dhoni before the start of the 2022 IPL. However, the reigning champions got off to a miserable start, winning only two of their first eight games before Dhoni had to be renegotiated to become the team’s skipper.

Although Jadeja has not yet ruled on CSK’s decision to remove him from the position of captain, his recent social media activity has shown that he is not happy with the management of the CSK team. The handyman has deleted all CSK-related posts from social media and has reportedly not been in contact with team management since the conclusion of IPL 2022 in May of this year.

According to a Times of India report, Jadeja will likely leave Chennai Super Kings unless something miraculous happens in the next few months. According to the report, the handyman has been complete “out of touch” with the franchise since leaving the IPL in mid-2022 due to a rib injury.

While CSK skipper Dhoni said the decision to sack Jadeja from the captain was made to take the load off his shoulder as it hampered his performance, the handyman reportedly took it as an “insult”. According to the report, CSK could not clarify the difference with the handyman, who has been franchised since 2012.

Jadeja has won two IPL titles with CSK since he joined the team in 2012. He played for the Gujarat Lions in 2016 and 2017 when CSK was banned from the competition. The Indian all-rounder is a major cog in the CSK squad and has played a key role in their success since 2018. However, he is unlikely to continue with next season’s four-time champion.

According to the Times of India, things could get worse if a franchise company makes a business proposal for Jadeja. The handyman must then sit down with the CSK management and decide his future. The franchise may try to convince him to stick with what may be a last-ditch effort.

Dhoni’s role will be crucial as he has played a huge role in Jadeja’s career so far, both internationally and in IPL. With Dhoni set to be CSK captain again next year, Jadeja is unlikely to be named captain again, but CSK may try to persuade him to stay and settle the differences.
