FIR against singer Rahul Jain: A FIR was recorded against Bollywood singer and composer Rahul Jain for allegedly raping a 30-year-old “costume designer”. An official announced on Monday. The singer, however, denied the allegations, calling them “false and unfounded”.
A police officer, citing FIR, said the complainant claimed in his recorded statement at the Oshiwara Police Station that Jain had contacted him on Instagram and praised his work. The defendant called the applicant to his home in a suburb of Andheri.
Charged With Assault And Destruction Of Evidence
The officer said the woman went to Jain’s home on 11 August. The defendant took her to her bedroom under the pretext of showing her things and then raped her. According to the police, the woman works as a freelance “costume designer”. The woman said Jain beat her and tried to destroy the evidence when she protested.
Case Recorded In These Sections
Police registered a FIR against Jain under sections 376, 323 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, the official said. The defendant has not yet been arrested.
The Singer Refused To Be Recognized
When Jain was contacted, he said, “I don’t know this woman. The allegations she has made are false and unfounded. A woman previously made similar allegations against me, but I got justice. This woman can be her ally.” .
It is noteworthy that a Bollywood lyricist and writer filed a FIR against Rahul Jain in October last year on various charges including rape, forced abortion and fraud.
